Thursdays are great!

Dear readers
First of all I wanna tell you guys a little about my day. School, then tennis, then homework. Sound like a pretty boring day right? But it actually wasn't. Today we had chemsitry where we made shampoos (last week we made moisturizers!) and history was actually quite interesting. Tennis is always a pleasure, and now I'm gonna make myself a nice, hot cup of tea and make a video for my english presentation tomorrow (we have about the environment).

Many of you readers propably know Gossip Girl (for those who doesn't; it's a tv show on CW). The show is filled with gorgeus clothes, architecture, hot boys... the list is long! But one of the main-persons in the show is Blair Waldorf. The reason I made this post, is because I like her style A LOT! I've put together some pictures of her best fashion moments, and I hope you guys will like the post, and maybe even be inspired by them.

Rewiev: Breaking Dawn - Part 1

Dear readers

A few weeks back, I went to the movies and saw Breaking Dawn - Part 1. My expectations were high. And perhaps that's why I can't shake of the little feeling of disapointment that's inside me. The movie is takes of at the start of the book, when Edward and Bella are getting married. We then follow their honeymoon, and when they come home, pregnant. You follow the hard battle - not only for Bella, but for everyone - between Bella and the little "monster" that's inside her, who's slowly killing her. 

The movie ends right where Bella wakes up after the birth. More I wont tell :)

My favourite food for winter

Dear readers
I want this post to be about food, and since I (and propably many others) change my food habits wether it's winter, summer, spring or fall (basically what season it is, and what I'm in the mood for:) ).
So, since it's almost winter, it's time to eat and drink warmer food and liquors. Here are some of my favourite dishes and liquors for winter:

Food:

I love soup! Especially since you can get it in all kinds of flavours. It saturates perfecly, it's warm and with a low fat-procent it's also healthy.

For dessert, I actually just prefer some brownies, based on a chocolate with a high cocoa-procent. Here is my atm. favourite recipe, from the baking book Fat Witch Brownies. You can basically get it in any bookstore with a kitchen-section, but if you want to you can also get it online, or in Barnes & Noble, where I got mine. 

Remember: You can always add ingeredients, frosting and decorations. Experiment as much as you like!

Fat Witch Brownies (12-16 brownies) :

• 14 tablespoons unsalted butter
• A half cup + 2 tablespoons bittersweet chocolate chips
• One and a quarter cup granulated sugar
• 4 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• A half cup + 2 tablespoons unbleached flour
• A pinch of salt

1. Grease a pan with butter. Dust with flour and tap out the axcess. Preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit
2. Melt the butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Set aside to cool.
3. Cream the sugar, eggs, and vanilla together. Add the chocolate mixture and mix untill well blended.
4. Measure the flour and salt and then sift together directly into the chocolate mixture. Mix the batter gently untill well combined and no trace of the dry ingeredients remains.
5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan and bake 33 minutes or untill a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean or with only crumbs, not batter, on it.
6. Remove from the oven and cool on a rack for 1 hour. Cut just before serving.

Liquor:

My favourite winter liqour is either tea or hot chocolate. My favourite tea comes from a little local tea-shop, and it's a mix of white tea with jasmine, aroma and bucktorn.

For the hot chocolate, just use some powder you can buy from your favourite store (I recommend splurging if necessary. You want a cocoa rich liquor) and add marshmallows (or whatever you prefer to do).

How to mix fashion with winter :) Part 4

Dear readers
The last couple of days I've been all over the internet, researching for christmas-wishes. On topshops website (www.topshop.com) I saw their new makeup collection, Smoke and Mirrors. I quickly fell in love with the 70' theme, and I think even the packaging is beautiful! Some of the things I really like are the eyepalette Loaisons and the lipstick Pillow Talk. How to mix fashion with winter :) Part 3

Dear readers
I've now been sick the last two days, and between numberous coups of tea and movies, i felt  making a post :)
I am a fan of the Olsen twins, and i recently saw their new line for The Row. The ine has bags made of aligator and lizard skin! As they say in a new interwiev, "We've tried to avoid black colors, and instead we made the collection with shades of white...", and the colors are amazing. Shades of white and brown, teal and yellow, are the colors on their bags this season. Also, as always, the sisters have designed a comfortable t-shirt line, with fabricks such as cotton and cashmere.

Dear readers
Here's another part of my 'How to mix fashion with winter' posts. The last couple of days I've been inspired by a trend I personally think is amzing. It's not expensive, you can wear it with everything, and it's still high fashion! Any ideas of what I got n my mind? Nails! By taking inspiration from the most known fashionhouses (or what you prefer) you can copy their patterns and colors, and express through nail laquer! Brilliant right? :D Here are some pictures:

How to mix fashion with winter :) Part 1

Dear readers
Here in Denmark the cold weather is taking over. The trees are nude, gloves are the only things that can keep your fingers from turning into icicles, and converses are exchanged with warm boots. I've done some researching for this article, and here ar some things I found helpfull:

• Wear lots of layers

Wearing lots of layers can keep you warm, and with a good fashion sense, you can prevent looking like michelin :P For example try knits.

• Make hats and gloves you best friends

Also, a good trend that cn keep you warm. Make the gloves and hats accessories, and like in every other piece of clothing, express yourself through it. And this year you have no excuses for wearing boring black gloves, 'cause lots of new choises are in store this year! 

Hope you thought it was usefull! :) Will elaborate on the subject the following week.

Hope you all had a good weekend! Personally I spend it with friends and family, and the christmas spirit is building up! :) Since I´m a BELIEBER, I´ve spend the last half our listening to Justin's new songs. And I personally think they're amazing, and you don't have to be a beliber too like his songs. I especially love his song all i want for christmas is you, where he co-sings with Mariah Carey. Hope you like it too.

An important thing for me is skincare products. I love them! I have all kinds of brands, and Ithink about adding another brand; Kiehl's. Kiehl's was originally an apothecary whom started in 1851, on the corner of 3rd avenue and 13th street, Manhattan. The store has passed down in families for years, and with time, it started producing quality skinproducts, for different categories, such as hand, hair, babies and even dogs.
Today Kiehl's is a world famous brand, who today has a permanent place on women's (and men's) skincare-shelves, all ove the world.
Personally I love the brand's iconic clean design, as you can se below. Deffinently something I'll add to my (too :) growing wishlist.

Chanel vernis-2011 fall collection

Dear readers,
Since it,s such a long time since my last post, I´ve decided to make an extra long post :) first, there´s the new Chanel vernis nailpolish´s for this season. They are all metallic-inspired, and the metallic tendense makes your nails look longer! The names are Quarts (a brown nailpolish with glitter) Graphite (the name almost introduce itself. A silver-ish glitter nailpolish) and Peridot (A mix of green, blue and brown). my personal favourite (atm.) is Peridot, and I'm heading for the local Chanel make-up store this weekend to try it out, (and who knows, maybe it will be on my nails in time for the to upcoming parties in my calender :) ).

That time of the year: Back to school style ! Part 1

Dear readers.
Personally I still have 3 weeks to schoolstarts again, but it´s never to early to start building your new back to school/ autumn wardrobe and find makeup looks that you can rock :) Actually I have unly build up tips to my new favourite NEUTRAL makeup look, cause I think that everybody has their own style, but the good with this look is that it matches every style and age :D So, what do I use to this look? : Blush: 17, Tweed Fuchsia from Chanel, Mascara: L'extrême from Lancome, Lipgloss: 8 hour cream from Elizabeth Arden.
How do I create this look?: First i ad my blusk to the apples on my cheeks. ( I tap it on. This gives more control over where the blush is, an you get it even.) Then I apply mascara from the middle of my lashes and out (this gives al lot of volume and really long looking lashes without getting them clumpy). Last, I ad a touch of liploss (I want to keep the focus on my cheeks, plus, to much shine will take the neutrality away). In case of wanting to cover blemishes, then skip the concealer, and just blend with a small amount of foundation with a fine tipped brush :)
You can just use you own makeup if you don´t have this makeup, and add more (or less) to this look (whatever you like, and what suits you best :) My favourite part of this look is my blush, cause it gives the amazing crushblush look (if you know what I mean :D)

Ón vacation

Dear readers.

Alive in wonderland

Dear readers.
You might wonder why I in my headline wrote ALIVE in wonderland instead of Alice in wonderland, but though I love the story, I must say that the colours and plants (etc.) in Tim Bourtons interpretation of wonderland is just amazing! The creativity of the plants with heads, the giant mushrooms in all sorts of colours (though in a dark tone, like plum, navy, yellow ocher and royal red). Arias eye makeup:
Aria is most focused on her eyes, so to achieve Arias long and volumius lashes, apply black mascara from the middle of the lashes and out. This will make sure the lashes don´t get lumpy and lose their volume. Take your black eyeliner and apply on either your waterline or just below your lashes (I prefer too apply it on the waterline:) If you want to apply the eyeliner below your lashes, you can add some white eyeliner on your waterline to make your eyes look bigger.)

Arias clothes:
Arias style can be described as pesonal, bohemian and sophisticated. I think I´ve noticed about Aria´s style is that she almost always wears skirts, dresses, knee-high boots and a leather jacket. The colours she wears is dark plum, burgundy, black, all shades of grey, brown and aubergine.
